Want to work with adult soccer in Chicago?

We are always looking for talented and passionate people to assist us in our mission. If you have a special skill or talent, or have contacts that would like to get involved with us, give Matt a shout anytime. Here are some specific positions we're recruiting for right now:

Membership Co-Ordinator & Game Day Operations - Part time

This is an hourly paid position, and brings many exciting opportunities. If you have ever wished you could get paid to work in soccer, here is the chance.

You will be responsible for the day to day execution of all WCW game operations - from our Coed and Men's leagues, to Beach tournaments to our Tournaments & Pickup games. You'll also take charge of our Illinois State Soccer Association membership program. Here are some more details:

    • You'll be on site at all WCW games.
    • You'll play a very important part in being the face of the organization, on the front lines. You'll provide the best customer service, a friendly face, and a knowledgeable approach to anyone who plays with us.
    • You'll communicate with members by email during the day.
    • You'll execute our ISSA membership program - you'll need admin skills, an eye for detail, and have the skills neccessary to manage a large amount of data.
    • You'll know and love soccer. While you work for WCW, you play for free!
    • You'll need an entrepreneurial attitude - you'll understand what it takes to make a small business successful, and be willing to go the extra 15 miles over and above the call of duty to help WCW grow.
    • You'll need a strong dose of initiative, self confidence, assertiveness and sense of humor. You'll also have a strong work ethic and the desire to succeed. You won't be shy in a crowd, and our members will love you. You won't mind getting your hands muddy, and you won't mind standing in a rain storm setting up goals.
    • Oh, and you'll need a car (if you don't have one, contact us anyway just in case).

This is an urgent position, so contact us now!

If you can't work for us part time, perhaps you'd like to get involved in other ways? Here is a current list of the areas we'd love to talk to you about. Anyone who helps us gets free soccer and other cool benefits:

Social Media Expert

Consult with us on the best ways to use social media, blogs, forums and other online methods to help people play soccer. If you have the time, we'd love you to take a hands on approach. You'd preferably be currently working in the relevant field, so can provide cutting edge information and assistance.

Game Day Logistics

Every year we provide more and more soccer programs. That means we need more and more people to help us run them. If you're interested in jumping in and also learning how to execute leagues and tournaments, we'd love to hear from you.

Chicago Fire Luxury Bus Co-Ordinator - Paid

Do you love the Fire and want to go to every game AND get a ticket for free AND get paid for it?! We're looking for someone to manage our Luxury Bus program to Toyota Park. Starting in April, WCW provides multiple buses from multiple bars to the Fire home games, and we need someone brilliant and customer facing to a) Be on every bus, making sure our customers get from point A to point B and back safetly, easily and with as much fun as possible. There is heavy lifting involved (lots of beer...) and it gets really busy - so you have to be able to handle stress well. The ability to multi task and not get flustered easily is also a plus.

Internships

Are you home from college in the summer and want to learn about running a business/gain valuable experience in sports logistics and marketing? We have openings for interns who want to get involved and learn from the inside. You need to be hard working, smart, funny, conscientious and customer facing. We'll provide you with many opportunities, college credit (in agreement with your school) and references if you do a good job.
